Irish Contemporary Ceramics Exhibition

Craft Town Scotland is delighted to welcome back the Irish Ceramics exhibition to the Barony Centre.  The centre hosted the first showing in Scotland of the Irish Ceramics exhibition in 2012, at that time one of the largest exhibitions of Irish Ceramic Artists outside of Ireland.  We are pleased to continue the long tradition of cultural exchange between our two countries.  This exhibition will be more extensive and comprehensive than 2012 including over 140 works by 48 Irish ceramic artists.

This will be the largest exhibition of Irish Ceramics outside of Ireland to date.

This exhibition showcases the most important contemporary ceramic artists in Ireland today.

This exhibition raises the profile and exposure of the brilliant diversity and skills of Irish Ceramic artists, showing qualities that deserve to be prized, honoured, and cherished but above all to be seen and enjoyed.

John Goode, director of Mill Cove Gallery in West Cork is the event organiser and author of Irish Ceramics (2014).  John is a leading expert on contemporary Irish ceramics and has written extensively on the subject.

Exhibition is sponsored by Mill Cove Gallery and The Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.
