Studio process, constructing the hand sculpted petals to create each flower/coral head. Award winning ceramic water sculpture Symmetry by Michelle Maher. Originally exhibited at Sculpture in Context 2012 in The National Botanic Gardens in Dublin. Inspired by Dahlia and Coral forms, it was sculpted in my own grogged paper clay body and high fired in an electric kiln to 1260°C (Cone 8). Symmetry is now part of the permanent collection at Blarney Castle, Cork. www.ceramicforms.com
